Terms and Conditions

On The Day of Performance

Pretending People will endeavor to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before show is due to begin. Allowing enough time for tuning instruments and overall set up. Please try to notify Pretending People of number of audience members.


Once cost has been agreed and booking form has been signed and returned, price will be non-negotiable. Any alterations MAY result in additional charges. Cost of future performances may change at any time.


Pretending People will always attempt to rearrange any cancelled bookings, however in the case that this is not possible, clients will find their deposit is non-refundable. IF SHOW IS CANCELLED ON THE DAY OF PERFORMANCE, FULL PAYMENT WILL BE DUE. In the rare event that Pretending People cancel a booking, you will be offered an alternative date or failing this, a full refund.


Deposit for performance will be due upon completion of booking form. Deposit will be deducted from total cost and remainder of payment will be due on the day of performance. If clients choose to pay full cost immediately this will be their preference, however cancellation terms and conditions will still apply.


At least one member of staff should be present throughout the performance, therefore Pretending People do not accept liability or responsibility for any damage, injury or accident. Pretending People are covered for public liability by ‘First Act.’ Providers of insurance to Equity and the entertainment profession. All Pretending People actors have enhanced DBS certificates.


Pretending People hold copyright for all performance scripts, any breach of this will result in legal action. Video recording is prohibited, however we do allow photography for personal use of the client.

Special Requirements

Any special requirements will need to be communicated at least 7 days before show, to allow Pretending People Theatre to accommodate all requests.
